Our 2008 VBS theme is Around the Campfire with Jesus.  The campfire is symbolic of any place where we come together to worship God on one accord and actively decide to live by Jesus' example of loving all people.  The campfire imagery is one of worship and Christian intimacy where encouragement, sharing, fellowship, service, and love dominate.  Jesus' relationship with His disciples was based on each one of these characteristics and virtues. 

The VBS lessons will emphasize these five principles.  In addition, these principles will serve as keywords in our study because they represent a set of values that Jesus exemplified throughout His ministry.  When taught and learned appropriately, these principles will result in a greater appreciation of human life and our need for one another.
